In the 1990s, a Canadian researcher showed how the learning ability and life quality of hyperactive children can be improved by a specialized diet. The results were groundbreaking and captured the attention of Indevex, a biotechnology company specialized in developing natural nutrition solutions to be used as part of the treatment of to be used as diet interventions in certain conditions.



Tests and pilot studies showed how a special combination of proteins, carbohydrates and fat (NGC™ nutrition formula) had a positive effect on various health conditions, such as obesity, diabetes and malnutrition.



In the beginning of 2000, the foundation of the now patented NGC™ technology was laid. Indevex conducted extensive research and verification work together with a team from Lund University. The objective was to confirm the positive effects of NGC™ as a nutrition intervention in the treatment of metabolic diseases focusing on how and in what form NGC™ should be used. This resulted in new knowledge about how nutrition can be used to stabilize post prandial blood sugar response and control the body weight.

Extensive work was put into preparing and refining nutrition formulas and on conducting market tests was followed by the development of concepts and product platforms.



Since 2009, Indevex NGC™ products have been available in 45 countries and more than 70 million portions have been sold. Several hundred thousand people have received help in revising their diet using NGC™.

NGC™ IS A 100% NATURAL NUTRITION FORMULA CONTAINING A BALANCE OF ESSENTIAL NUTRIENTS THAT LOWERS THE BLOOD SUGAR LEVEL (LOW GI/GL)*. A GENEROUS SHARE OF HIGHLY POTENT PROTEIN AND A LOW GLYCEMIC INDEX RESULT IN PROLONGED ABSORPTION OF NUTRIENTS IN THE INTESTINES, WHICH INCREASES THE FEELING OF FULLNESS AND SUPPORTS A LOW AND BALANCED POST PRANDIAL BLOOD SUGAR RESPONSE.
The three easily accessible natural protein sources supplement each other and satisfy a large share of the daily need of all eight essential amino acids, based on scientific observations (WHO 2008).

The NGC macronutrients provide the body with essential building blocks, needed for the continuous maintenance of organs and tissues, cell function etc around the clock. High quality nutrition, as in NGC, protects the body from many diseases closely associated with nutrition.

Yes, we only use natural ingredients and flavours.

The NGC™ Ingredient contains no added sugar. The sugar and carbohydrates in the blend derives from the natural ingredients (apple, rosehip, sugar beet fibre).

Fatty acids that are required by the human body but cannot be made in sufficient quantity from other substrates, and therefore must be obtained from food, are called essential fatty acids. NGC™ Preload contains the two important essential fatty acids, Omega-3 and 6, both polyunsaturated fatty acids (PUFAs). These contain linoleic acid (LA) and alpha-linoleic acid (ALA), widely distributed in plant oils. The human body has a limited ability to convert ALA into the longer-chain n-3 fatty acids eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA) and docosahexaenoic acid (DHA), which also can be obtained from fish. The balance between Omega 3 and 6 is vital for health; the ratio in NGC™ is 1:2, which is the recommended level to stay healthy.

NGC™ contains carbohydrates that are slowly digested. Carbohydrates are divided into slow (complex) and fast (simple). Slow carbohydrates take longer to break down, such as fibre-rich vegetables and beans, while white sugar and white flour are almost instantly made available to the body as blood sugar. Foods with fibres and complex carbohydrates have a low GI.

NGC™ has three different sources of protein: eggs, peas and whey (from milk). Protein forms the body’s building blocks and is largely found in meat, fish, poultry, eggs, milk and soy products, beans and lentils. Peas and protein from peas are sometimes called “the meat of the vegetable kingdom”, thanks to their rich and beneficial amino acid composition. Peas are particularly rich in lysine and arginine amino acids. Whey protein is a rich protein source including all of the essential amino acids needed in a daily diet, and is biologically one of the most potent proteins. Whey protein contains a high level of leucine, which promotes the synthesis of muscle protein and muscle growth. The egg is naturally full of nutritional value thanks to its high protein content with essential amino acids, lipids, minerals and vitamins. NGC™ ´s amino acids are essential for life. NGC™ products provide a high content of essential amino acids, important to get on a daily basis since the body is unable to produce these amino acids.
